Reading and Book Signing with Winnie Hughes Spar 

Winnie Hughes Spar, who has taught Eco poetry courses at the Watershed for the past nine years, will celebrate the recent publication of her poetry collection The Village of New Ghosts, winner of the 2024 Henry Morgenthau III poetry prize from Passager Books. Grace Cavalieri, former poet laureate of Maryland and judge of the competition, said of the book, “Someone is obviously in charge of this work. Someone is in control of its precise syntax and beautiful heart. I never wanted to stop reading.”
