Watershed Wednesdays Series

From Source to Tap: The Story of Drinking Water

Time: April 19, 6 - 7:15 p.m. EST

Free | Suggested Donation: $10

Virtual Webinar on Zoom

Due to surface runoff, chemical contaminates, and various natural parasites and diseases, even the clearest looking stream isn't necessarily safe to drink from. Clean drinking water is an essential public service that helps keep us healthier. Join the Watershed Institute and New Jersey American Water to learn all about drinking water.

Industry professionals from New Jersey American Water, a private water utility serving 2.8 million customers in the state, will give an overview of the Safe Drinking Water Act. Learn how clean potable water makes it from a river, lake or stream, and into your home. They'll also discuss different types of source water, water treatment processes, and some of the regulations that help ensure our tap water is safe to drink.

This event will be 100% virtual on Zoom. Recordings will be shared with attendees after the event.

If you have any questions about the event, please feel free to contact Pri Oliveira at poliveira@thewatershed.org
