Family Terrarium Day![](/orgsrichtextimages/3916/educationprogrampictures/terrarium_workshop_glass_carboy4.jpg)
Adults can register to make a giant tropical terrarium in a 5-gallon glass jar with Assistant Director of Education, Pat Heaney. Like building a ship in a bottle, participants will construct a landscape with a selection of tropical and subtropical plants. The fee for each large terrarium is $60 and includes the antique glass container, all substrate, plants, and decorations. Limited to seven terrariums, but please feel free to bring another adult as your helper at no extra charge!
Children ages 7 and up will take a walk with Watershed Fellow, Kate Hode and build a “pocket ecosystem” as well as a small desert terrarium. Fee for each child is $10 and includes everything to make a mini pocket ecosystem and a desert terrarium in a small glass globe.
Preregistration required. Member discount available.
