Join us on April 24, 2021 in TRENTON and volunteer to help remove trash, litter, and debris from local rivers and streams at our 15th Annual Stream Cleanup. Over the past decade, these efforts have helped remove more than 122,000 pounds of garbage with the help of 6,300 enthusiastic volunteers. Our cleanup events are a great way to get outside, improve the scenic beauty of our region and positively impact our wildlife habitat. Take home a Watershed Stream Cleanup t-shirt as a memento!
We appreciate the continued support of our generous sponsors who make our cleanups possible. Bloomberg, Colgate Palmolive, Lilly, American Rivers, and New Jersey Clean Communities have provided volunteers and resources.
New this year: pre-registration is required!
A MAXIMUM OF 50 PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE AT EACH CLEANUP SITE, according to current guidelines for outdoor gatherings in New Jersey. Staggered start times will be offered to accommodate two groups of volunteers. Select your start time of 9AM or 10AM during registration.
"Virtual" stream cleanups are also available! Rather than join the group at a pre-determined site, you may choose to pick up trash wherever you like. Just snap a few pics and let us know where you are cleaning up with our online form to share your cleanup spot on the Watershed community map. Learn more here: thewatershed.org/stream-cleanups
