The Residential Site Improvement Standards (RSIS) are often cited as an impediment to requiring stronger stormwater management for residential projects. This perceived problem may not be as much of a barrier as many people think. Learn why The Residential Site Improvement Standards (RSIS) should not prevent a town from enacting stronger stormwater protections, even for one and two-family properties. This issue is currently under appeal. Learn from the attorney handling the matter for interveners and from another attorney assisting municipalities develop ordinances to address the issue without running afoul of RSIS.
