Protecting Colonial Lake
Living on a lake comes with gifts - a bald eagle flying overhead; the color of sunset in the water; and a family of mallards swimming along the shoreline - but it also comes with responsibilities. Meet at Colonial Lake Park to explore the concept of non-point source pollution in a walk along the lake and in the neighborhood. Jeff Hoagland, Education Director of the Watershed Institute will lead a walk to discover how our activities in and around the neighborhood impact water quality in the lake. Meet some of the animal residents and guests of the lake as we explore the lakeshore, finding and mapping storm drains. Join this relaxed and informative walk to learn how you can help Colonial Lake.
