The Watershed Institute, Hightstown Borough Environmental Commission, Peddie School, and NJ Rise invite community members, decision-makers, family members, friends, students, and all who are interested to this important event. A dozen students from Hightstown High School and the Peddie School spent Tuesday evenings from March to May 2023 learning about the environment and issues that threaten it. They also learned how to engage in the local decision-making processes that can help safeguard local watersheds and waterways like our local Rocky Brook.
Join us and hear from the students on what they have learned and what should be done to protect local watersheds. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. There will be refreshments, networking, a facilitated opportunity to discuss different areas of focus with student groups, a short presentation by a returning student leader, and presentation of completion certificates for the 2023 class of the Hightstown Environmental Youth Leadership Program.
