The Watershed Institute, Raritan Headwaters, Lower Raritan Watershed Partnership, NY/NJ Baykeeper, and Duke Farms invite you to celebrate this important milestone. The Clean Water Act was passed in 1972 with the intent of improving water quality in the U.S. This landmark environmental law provides a foundation for important protections for NJ's waterways. During the 50th anniversary of the Clean Water Act on October 18, we will reflect on the past and envision the future.

The event will feature a guest speaker from NJ DEP, a presentation on how the Clean Water Act has influenced policies and efforts in NJ specifically, and roundtable opportunities for guests to discuss key water-related issues in NJ today. There will also be an opportunity for guests to join one of two post-event field trips. Tour the beautiful Duke Farms property on a bike or paddle down the D&R canal. Please note: the event does not include lunch unless you are joining the paddling trip.
