Virtual on Zoom
The American Shad is perhaps the preeminent, native, migratory fish of our Mid-Atlantic region. As a fish that spends the majority of its life in the ocean, only visiting our rivers and streams for brief amounts of time, they are not well understood by many people.
This webinar will shed light on this unique, remarkable and somewhat mysterious native species, their annual migration and the ongoing work by The Watershed Institute and others to remove dams and restore habitat they need. Join The Watershed Institute's Jim Waltman, and Clay Emerson of Princeton Hydro to learn about species identification, general biology and spawning migration, habitat restoration/dam removal and recreational fishing opportunities.
This event will be 100% virtual on Zoom. Links will be sent to registrants 24 hours before the event. Recordings will be shared after the event.
