NATURALIST EXPLORATIONS: NATURE JOURNALING
Thursday, October 29 6PM- 7PM EST and Thursday, November 5 6PM-7PM EST
Develop your skills and knowledge as a naturalist through our online Naturalist Explorations programs with Education Director Jeff Hoagland and Watershed Education Intern, Anna Stunkel! In this two-part virtual program, we will explore topics and techniques for that week's theme, including a remote outdoor component. Participants will then be charged with trying out these new techniques, meeting one week later for a second session, presenting discoveries and gaining further insight. A supplemental resource list, including readings, will be provided.
Nature Journaling, October 29 and November 5: Through sketching and writing in a nature journal, we can develop our observation skills, contribute to citizen science, and record memorable moments from time spent outdoors. The first part of this program will focus on organizing your field journal, learning from the journaling process, and developing writing and sketching techniques. We’ll return the following week to share our findings from time spent journaling in the field.
Virtual via Zoom. Teens and adults. All sessions take place 6PM-7PM EST.
