The Citizen Science Forum, co-hosted by EPA Region 2, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and The Watershed Institute, brings together New Jersey environmental organizations to discuss key issues impacting the volunteer water monitoring community.

The forum will feature presentations by Anahita Williamson, Director of the Division of Environmental Science and Assessment at EPA Region 2; Katie Angarone, Acting Associate Commissioner of Policy at NJDEP; Carol Collier, Senior Advisor for Watershed Management and Policy at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University; and Danielle Donkersloot, Clean Water Program Director at the Izaak Walton League of America.

The event will also include lightning talks on a variety of monitoring topics, like harmful algal blooms, drone surveys for restoration effectiveness, continuous sensors, and successful cross-sector monitoring partnerships.
